The legendary restaurant at Boompjes in Rotterdam finally got a new destination after years of vacancy. The caterer Ron Sterk turned the iconic building into a high-end event location entrusting the installation of flexible and sun blocking curtains to ShowTex.
This pavilion which is famous for its glass façade overlooking the river Maas is the perfect location for wedding parties, company events as well as product launches. Therefore, it is very important that the space can be quickly and easily adapted to the requirements of each event without compromising the character of the building and the unique view of the river.
For this reason, ShowTex installed a double ShowPipe rail system on 3 sides of the building for two layers of fully customised curtains made of transparent voile. The curtains give the building a homely feel and also diffuse the sunlight.
A luxurious look was chosen for the interior and the newest audio-visual techniques were installed. Three different RollUp 300 systems by ShowTex, equipped with RP Black rear projection screens allowing projections to be visible both form the inside as from the street, were attached to the ceiling at the front of the pavilion. A real eye-catcher!
