Abu Dhabi Through Your Eyes

Abu Dhabi Through Your Eyes, one of the most prestigious photography awards in the Middle East, called in ShowTex to furnish the stage on which photographers showcased their most inspiring photos of Abu Dhabi.

At the beginning of the award ceremony, a 20-meter wide Molton theatre curtain, mounted on a ShowTrack rail system, kept the crowd in big suspense. By use of an Rope Drive motor, the black drape opened up in two panels of over 5 m high, revealing the cinematic set behind them.

All winning photos were presented on a low-gain RP Off White projection screen of 5.5 by 9 m. The very wide viewing angle of the ShowTex screen was perfect for a setup like this. It spread the light nicely and did a lot of justice to the inspiring images that captured the beauty of Abu Dhabi!
