How do you make visitors believe they are strolling under the canopy of a forest? By meticulously distributing 400 holes of different sizes over 672 m² of dense, black, flame-retardant fabric. An effect realised through the combination of precision, creativity and craftsmanship.

First, the in-house printers carefully mark the complex artwork onto the BlackDim fabric, and then, the skilled ShowTex artisans use this guideline to manually cut all shapes from the masking cloth. A hands-on approach that ensured each piece was precisely aligned with the envisioned concept.

The finishing touch? Backlighting the dimout fabric to get a breathtaking ceiling installation that transforms the hall of the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya into an immersive forest experience. What a synergy of technology and traditional artistry!
