Printed backdrops with Blackout Double lining

Five graphic designs of various heights were printed on Universal 250 print fabric and backed with soft Blackout Double lining. The flame-retardant fabrics surrounding the band did not only shape the stage, they also improved the acoustics of the venue. 

Kabuki revealing a stunning set design

At the start of the show, the backdrops were hidden behind Satinac curtains, revealing the prints one by one with a stunning Kabuki drop effect.

The remarkable artwork featured black and white caricatures of the band members together with friends, family and musical heroes of the singer. By directing all eyes to the centre of the stage, the set designer kept the focus on the band at all times.

Fabric sets are easy to adapt to the size of a venue

The set of the Overproof Tour was initially created for medium-sized venues but could easily be adapted to a bigger stage when the Ally Pally concert was confirmed. By printing an extra backdrop and rearranging the drapes on stage, the set looked as if it was meant to be there in the first place!
