Asia's first Porsche Experience Centre opened with a bang! The gigantic site, located next to the Shanghai International Circuit, amazed its guests with a spectacular ceremony defined by ShowTex projection screens and reveal systems.
PROJECTION SCREENS IN FREE FALL
Three RP Grey screens acted as the main backdrop for the event. With a total size of 32 meters wide by almost 7 metres high, the massive outdoor projection surface did not go unnoticed. Bright and colourful projections drew everyone's attention to the screen, until the big moment... In a blink of an eye, the massive backdrop elegantly dropped down using a 3-piece Kabuki system to reveal an impressive collection of cars.
OUTDOOR KABUKI DROP
With wind speeds up to 25 knots, the screens were tensioned on both sides with vertical ShowPipes, guiding them down safely and straight during the big reveal. As the modular Kabuki system allows for almost endless extensions, it ensured the three screens to fall at exactly the same time. The immediate response of the reveal system only added to the great surprise effect.
