THE POSITION

Branch Manager ShowTex Japan K.K.

The Branch Manager will represent ShowTex in Japan to search and maintain customers and develop long term and successful relationships with customers and vendors. 

He/she will have a very important and responsible function within the team managing the office and warehouse. 

Manage and execute project requirements from initial stage until finish. Build a professional team in Japan office to accomplish the long-term achievements. 

The Branch Office Manager will report directly to the Managing Partner of ShowTex Asia based in Hong Kong. 


KEY DUTIES/MAIN TASKS

The Branch Office Manger acts as the face of ShowTex Japan K.K, he/she supports the top management in all organizational, commercial, technical, recruiting and accounting tasks. 

Supports production and installation and regulates procurement and logistics of materials, personnel, where needed. 

Act as a strong leader of the entire operation in Japan, which includes business development, marketing, accounting, project management, human resources, production and installation, logistic, warehousing, strategic vision and long-range planning.

Develop effective business plans to align strategic decisions with long-term objectives, improve operational quality and team efficiency.

Work with marketing team from HQ Asia and Belgium to prepare and executive multiple market plans and strategies including material preparation and participation in different events, trade show and exhibition to search for new customer and establish good company branding. 

Understand the latest company & industry product and technology to provide recommendation and solution to realize project designs for existing and potential customer.

Build, guide, mentor a strong and professional team to drive, meet and exceed business results while maintaining a long-term sustainable sales and profit growth.

Engage in daily sales related duties including but not limited to enquiries handling, quotation and invoice preparing, project planning, order processing, after sales servicing and related documentations.

Prepare all project requirements and manage progression with stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operation and project execution including but not limited to project planning, on-site support, installation supervision, material preparation, work scheduling and inventory control.

Monitor company and individual performance, analyze data, anticipate crucial activities and provide related reports to management regularly. 


QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND COMPETENCIES

University degree or similar commercial education with at least 5 years of experience.
Understanding of technical procedures and processes in event / trade show / theatre design and construction. 

  • A background in the event and theatre industry is a plus.
  • Ideally experience in project management, project development, international trade, …
  • Experience in the field of major events, exhibition, concerts or theatre production is a plus (Rugby 7’s, F1 Event, Olympic Games/Expo, etc, …)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and goal-driven personality. 
  • Excellent listening skills, creative and solution oriented.
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with can do mentality, that is able to work in a team environment. 
  • A high customer service orientation and business acumen.
  • Autonomous, proactive problem solver motivated by. 
  • Japanese (native), English (business fluent), Chinese is a plus.
